A little bit about me...
My name is Alicia Knudsen and this will be my 10th year teaching...all of which has been here at Ashland Park-Robbins! I taught 1st grade my first seven years and then 2nd grade for the past two years. This is my first year teaching 3rd grade and I am having so much fun!
I graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in May 2008 and started teaching at AP-R in August 2008, two days after my wedding! During my teaching career, I earned my ELL endorsement from Concordia University, my K-3 math specialist endorsement from UNL, and my Masters degree from UNL. I love learning new things in education to bring into my classroom to share with my students and to further their learning!
When I am not teaching, I am spending time with my family! I have been married to my wonderful husband for 9 years and together we have three beautiful children. My twin daughters, Kamry and Kaylin will be 13 in November and my son, Kaleb, is 6. Last summer we adopted a dog from the Humane Society. Nala is 6 years old and is a lab/bull mastiff mix. So our house is a crazy fun time!
I look forward to getting to know your child and working with them this school year. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you have throughout the year. E-mail is the best way to communicate with me or leave a message on my classroom voicemail and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
